Accessibility

We have tried to ensure that the Lucy Till Hats website is accessible to everybody.

The website is optimised to work best with for screens 1024 × 768 and above, with JavaScript enabled.

The website is structured with 5 main pages that are all navigable by the primary navigation at the top, 3 main product pages with the navigation on the left and 5 secondary pages that are accessible by using the bottom navigation.

Access keys

This website has a number of keyboard shortcuts set up to help with navigation using the letter and number keys on your keyboard. The keyboard shortcuts used is dependent on your browser and operating system. The following access keys are available throughout the website:

  • 1 = About Lucy
  • 3 = Wedding & special occasion hats
  • 4 = Winter felt & fabric hats
  • 5 = Summer straws
  • 6 = Holiday Courses
  • 7 = Contact
  • a = Accessibility

If you are a Windows user

Press the <Alt> key in combination with the relevant access key:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4: press <Alt> and the letter at the same time
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and above: press <Alt> and the letter (at the same time), and then press <Enter>
  • Netscape 6 and above: press <Alt> and the letter at the same time
  • Firefox 1.x: press <Alt> and the letter at the same time

Please note that access keys are not supported by Netscape 4 and Opera 6.

Macintosh users

Macintosh users should press the <Ctrl> key in combination with the relevant access key. Please note that under:

  • Mac OS 9, access keys are not supported by Internet Explorer 4, Internet Explorer 4.5, Mozilla, Netscape 4 and Opera 5
  • Mac OS X 10, access keys are not supported by Mozilla, OmniWeb 4 and Safari

Text Size

You may change the size of the text of this website using the buttons in the top right corner of the web site, or alternatively using your browser:

Windows users

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 and above: go to the View menu and select Text Size then choose between Medium, Larger or Largest
  • Netscape 4: go to the View menu then choose Increase or Decrease font
  • Netscape 6 and above: go to the View menu and select Text Zoom
  • Firefox 1.x: go to the View menu and select Text Size

Macintosh users

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and above: go to the View menu and select Text Zoom

We strive to comply with the W3C WAI's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and aim for our pages to conform to W3C Level AA compliance.

All pages use well-structured semantic markup compliant with XHTML 1.0 Transitional. For example, h1 tags are used for main titles and then h2, h3 used for subtitles.
